Now, normally you don’t tell how little you spent on a present, but in this case, here it goes:
1) Plain wooden fame: Michaels (Usually $1, got 3 for $2 on sale this past week)
2) Acrylic paint: I have a small stockpile of acrylic paint (and also use some from my roommate) but typically you can get small bottles at walmart or michaels for under $1.
3) Wooden tree and wooden sun: 53 cents at Michaels.
So assuming you have any paint at home, this project costs about $2. Without paint, it would be about $4-$5 max (depending on how many colors you purchase)

A great tip is to slowly build up a collection of acrylic paints. You don’t need to rush out and buy all kinds of colors, but buy colors based on the project you are starting and then add to your “collection” as you keep going!
